How Private ATM's WORK
Customer accesses system with their card and personal ID# to make a withdrawal.
All major bank cards welcome.
Customer gets charged for the withdrawal, $2.00-$3.00 surcharge per transaction.
The amount of the withdrawal, plus the surcharge is deducted from their account.
This total amount is electronically processed and deposited to the ATM owner's account usually within 48 banking hours.
Regular bank services charges for ATM withdrawals apply in addition to the surcharge.
Location owner receives the surcharge revenue, less maintenance contract, location owner provides cash, pays for a phone line, electricity, operational and other such fees.

Break even point in this example is 120 transactions per month, about 1/4 the national average.
In addition, national statistics indicate that approximately 35% of what is withdrawn fom the machine is spent in the location.
Based on an average withdrawl of $60.00 x 500 transactions is $30,000.00 x 35% equals a possible $10,500.00 spent in the location.
